Role Overview
We are recruiting an experience site‑based lead (No1 Site Manager) to support delivery of a major industrial warehouse refurbishment and mezzanine installation in Exeter.
This is a high‑profile, fast‑paced scheme that demands a confident, decisive manager who can lead on site, think independently, and drive performance across safety, quality and programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day site operations for internal refurbishment and mezzanine installation.
- Control subcontractor performance with firm, fair supervision to maximise productivity and quality.
- Champion health & safety, ensuring RAMS, permits and site documentation are current and enforced.
- Manage reporting and programme updates, including daily briefs, weekly reports and progress tracking.
- Coordinate logistics and sequencing to maintain flow and meet milestone dates.
- Liaise with Project Manager, client and delivery partners to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
Essential Requirements
- Managers CSCS card
- SMSTS
- 3‑day First Aid
- Strong IT literacy — reporting, email, document control, digital H&S systems
- Proven experience delivering construction projects of scale
- Demonstrable leadership — able to command teams with clarity and professionalism
- Flexible working — 12 days on / 2 days off rota
