The Role
The Quality Inspector will ensure that manufactured components and assemblies meet specified quality standards, dimensional tolerances and compliance requirements. The role will also support internal audits, ISO certification, coordinate measurement machine (CMM) operations and help drive continuous improvement of quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out incoming inspection of parts/materials, in-process inspection and final inspection of assemblies.
  • Use CMM (coordinate measuring machine) equipment to measure parts to drawing/tolerance specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications and measurement results.
  • Record inspection data, non-conformances and prepare inspection reports.
  • Raise NCRs (non-conformance reports), liaise with production/manufacturing/engineering teams to identify root cause of defects.
  • Support the Quality Manager in performing and maintaining internal audits (e.g., ISO 9001, and other relevant standards), ensuring compliance and readiness for external audits.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector (or equivalent) in a manufacturing environment, preferably precision engineering or electromechanical manufacture.
  • Experience operating and programming/interpreting results from a CMM (coordinate measuring machine).
  • Strong understanding of dimensional metrology, engineering drawings, GD&T, specification tolerances.
  • Experience with internal/external audits, and familiarity with ISO 9001 (or similar) standards and audit processes.
